We exit the airplane at 11,000 feet above ground level (AGL).
How long is the freefall? You will be in freefall for 35-40 exhilarating seconds.
After freefall, you will have an approximately 5-6 minute canopy ride before landing.
You can expect it to be approximately 30-40 degrees colder than it is on the ground.
Each student is provided goggles for eye protection. We have large sizes for those of you who wear glasses. They are attached to the back of your harness until you need them before your jump.
We always recommend that you are flexible with the amount of time you plan on being with us. Unfortunately, Mother Nature does not always cooperate, so we recommend at least four hours which allows for weather delays. On average, however, you can expect a minimum of two hours.
You must be in good physical condition with no medical issues and at least 18 years of age on or before your jump.
You must be height/weight proportionate and weigh less than 230 pounds fully dressed.
You should dress appropriately for the weather in loose comfortable clothes. You should wear comfortable lace up shoes; no heels or slip on shoes.
On the day of your jump, if the weather is not cooperating, we will be on a weather hold (delaying all jumps) or will outright cancel. This is communicated through our Facebook Page, Twitter as well as individual phone calls for cancellation/rescheduling as necessary. If rescheduling is necessary, the deposit will be transferred to the next available date of your choice.
Yes we do! Check out our Discounts Page for more information.
Will you match a Groupon offering from another drop zone?
We suggest scheduling as far in advance as possible to lock in the best time/dates. If you would like an appointment in the next 48 hours, please call the DZ during business hours to schedule.
You should eat a regular light meal before your jump and make sure to stay hydrated. You should not, however, consume any drugs or alcohol prior to your jump. We reserve the right to deny jumping with anyone who is impaired in any way.
We use a GoPro Hero 7 camera to shoot video in 4K 60fps and the GoPro Session for still photos at 8 megapixels. We use separate cameras for video and stills to offer the highest resolution and clarity. Our videos are edited with Sony Vegas Pro with a leader, trailer, and royalty free music. Videos are then rendered in MP4 format and saved to a custom 8 GB flash drive with a Skydive Allegan lanyard so you can carry your video and stills everywhere you go to share your jump! The MP4 format allows for easy upload to all of the social media platforms.
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring others with you to share your experience and they are more than welcome to take pictures and video you while you are on the ground.
We do not allow tandem students to utilize their own equipment as using non-approved camera mounts creates an unsafe skydiving environment.
The jump plane is a Cessna 182 specially configured for skydiving and can hold a pilot and four jumpers. We can take up to two Tandem jumpers at a time.
We accept cash and Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express for payments. We do NOT accept personal checks.
We offer a variety of digital gift certificate packages for purchase online.
This is a hot, loud and sometimes chaotic environment with lots of moving things. For the comfort of your pet and safety of our customers/staff, leave your pets at home.
